Central Asia Forecasting

15. - 17.06.2022, closed dialoque programme

Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the SPCE Hub and the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, have conducted the expert-based study Central Asia Forecasting. The study offers a profound insight into the region and provides an outlook on upcoming trends.

The current conflict in Eastern Europe directly affects Central Asia and raises many questions about the future path of the region and its relationship with both Russia and the EU. Which political and economic factors will shape domestic politics? Which ones will shape regional cooperation? In which areas should the European Union become more active?

To present the forecasting to and discuss the impacts of the war in Ukraine with EU stakeholders the FES EU Office has invited six experts on Central Asia from 15 June to 17 June 2022 to Brussels.
