Video online: Unequal Europe - Tackling Social, Economic & Regional Divides

Björn Hacker, Professor of European Economic Policy at HTW Berlin, will present the Policy Study 'Unequal Europe - Tackling Regional Disparities in Europe'. The study puts forward suggestions for relaunching an EU agenda fit for the challenge of social and territorial cohesion.

Nicolas Schmit, European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, will deliver a Keynote Speech and participate in a Q&A session with FEPS President Maria Joao Rodrigues and Prof. Björn Hacker.

The report has been produced as part of a European collaboration with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and the Foundation for European Progressive Studies at the European level. The project has previously produced a similar analysis in Germany, Finland, Italy and Romania and analyses are underway in Sweden and Estonia. The indicators have been selected in collaboration with researchers from the Institut für Landes- und Stadtentwicklungsforschung.
