On 12 November, we’ll host a panel discussion with legal experts, policymakers and CSO to explore the key aspects of the New Pact and ways to ensure its proper implementation.
Amid a shift from negotiating the reforms to preparing for implementation, this panel discussion explores the comprehensive changes introduced by the New Pact on Migration and Asylum and ways to ensure their proper implementation over the coming years. With EU member states due to finalise their national implementation plans before the end of the year, the discussion will focus on the conditions needed for solidarity to work, fundamental rights safeguards across key files and effectiveness in policy implementation.
It builds on the policy studies published in the context of our New Pact Series. Legal experts, policymakers and civil society will analyse and discuss challenges and ways forward for implementing the New Pact and strengthening the Common European Asylum System to create a resilient structures that balances responsibility and solidarity as well as protect human rights and the rule of law.
