Policy Study Launch: How to support feminist leadership in Europe

Join our the launch of our new policy study "Women CSO leaders for systemic change - How to support feminist leadership in Europe" on Monday, 19 February.

Identifying remaining barriers and new opportunities for women CSO leaders in achieving systemic change in Europe

On Monday, 19 February 2024, the policy study “Women Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Leaders for Systemic Change – How to Support Feminist Leadership in Europe” will be presented from 13:00 to 15:00 by the EU Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS), the Green European Foundation (GEF) and the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union.

This study represents the first-ever study of its kind, based on the voices of 148 women civil society leaders. It takes stock of the progress of the last decade and identifies remaining barriers and new opportunities for women CSO leaders in achieving systemic change in Europe.

Over the past decade, the Civil Society Organisations (CSO) sector has provided opportunities to contribute to societal shifts while driving a just transition and supporting democracy. Simultaneously, women have become the majority of those working in this sector in Europe, increasingly taking on senior leadership roles.

After the study presentation, we will hold a panel discussion with leading policymakers in the field of gender equality in the workplace and civil society representatives. This public event offers a unique opportunity to exchange and gather input from key stakeholders.

The event will take place at Mundo Madou (room Artemisia), Avenue des Arts 7-8, 1210 Brussels.

Please note that – due to a high interest for this event – registrations are already closed as the maximum number of participants has been reached.
