Journalists from Côte d’Ivoire

19. - 23.11.2018, closed dialogue programme

In light of the expiration of the Cotonou Partnership Agreement in 2020 relations between the EU and ACP countries have received new attention. Current common challenges such as migration, climate change and security call for a deeper cooperation, especially between Africa and the EU. This has been acknowledged most prominently in this year’s State of the Union speech where EU-Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker called for an enforced partnership. Given these dynamics, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung EU Office invites journalists from the Ivory Coast to Brussels to discuss current issues on the European political agenda and future EU-Africa-relations.
