Several EU Member States are committed to feminist foreign policy (FFP), yet have recently increased their defence budget. Can these contradictory developments be reconciled? A feminist take on EU Security and Defence Policy In order to answer this question, our new policy brief examines how to look at security and defence strategies through a feminist lens. Dr. Annika Bergman Rosamond highlights how Member States integrate the principles of peace and security into their respective FFP strategies and formulates recommendations for a more feminist approach to EU Security and Defence Policy.
