For the 2028-2034 budget, the European Commission suggests five new own resources as revenue streams:the EU Emission Trading System (ETS)the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)a new contribution based on non-collected e-wastethe Corporate Resource for Europe (CORE)a Tobacco Excise Duty Own Resource (TEDOR)The implementation of new own resources needs to be a priority in the negotiations.
